You can use this article to understand the WillComply Fee and how to enable it in the platform.
You can use this article to answer the following questions:
- What is the WillComply fee?
- How can an administrator enable the WillComply fee in the platform?
WillComply is a company which serves as an intermediary for tax collection. Some clients use it as an option for these purposes.
Our team has added a section in the advanced settings which allows clients to set up a configured setting with regard to the use of WillComply and the tax authority entity to which the fee is posted.
Unless this option has been configured in the platform, the WillComply fee will not be available in the line item drop-down menu.
This option can be set up by going to “Administration”, then to the “Advanced Settings” subtab, and then to “Receipt Disbursement.” You will then see a number of settings which are available for configuration in the platform. These settings include the WillComply fee option.
By default, WillComply is disabled until an Administrator enables it from the advanced settings. When it is enabled, the user will be able to specify the tax authority, where the WillComply fees will be posted.
If WillComply is not configured, the option will not be available when users are quoting in the platform. It is also never available on endorsements in BindHQ.
Additionally, WillComply is always allowed on programs, but it will not be copied to a quote if it has not been enabled by a user in the platform.
A separate WillComply tax authority for each state is also not required.
